Everyone knows Louisville gets a lot of air traffic at night due to UPS having its main hub here. I've been trying to get a good city skyline picture of Louisville with star trails in the sky but realized tonight with Louisville's air traffic at night it's going to be next to impossible trying to get a picture without any "noise". The shots I got tonight though turned out pretty cool considering.

I found some old architecture pictures from Florida on a cd earlier and was taking a look at them. I found a folder of extras, just stuff i never used or out of focus pictures etc. I found a few sunset pictures i snapped from the parking lot of University Commons in Boca Raton. As I've been organizing old photos onto my new external hard drive I'm running across some photos I've never seen. So here is the latest. In 2006, a runaway barge broke loose on the Ohio River and got lodged sideways on the K&I Railroad Bridge. The barge stayed there for 4 months until it could be moved. Story here. I apparently got a picture of it while crossing the Sherman Minton Bridge one day.

Tonight I took my niece Izzie out to do some photo manipulation photos. I realized this would be a lot easier in the day time so you wouldnt have any blur problems. Since I've been sick for 7 days I've been trying to organize my photos on my hard drives. I keep coming across neat shots that I've never seen before. 11-01-2008 I was riding around town in the Eastern Parkway area and came across two interesting things. One a rather large wooden bunny in someone's yard/ it's kinda amazing what people can carve out of a fallen tree, and completely reminded me of Donnie Darko. and the second was an entrance into a neighborhood that I found pleasing to the eye.

I realized recently shooting the moon is a lot easier to do in the morning. Mainly because its not so bright compared to the rest of the sky. These shots were taken walking from the garage into my house so i didn't use a tripod but I assume they would be a lot crispier if I had of. Main street is supposed to have later development of a place called Iron Quarter. In November this year I was down there taking pictures of Main Street Row. Yesterday I went to my sister R's house and brought a Gingerbread tree and Gingerbread Men over to decorate with my niece and nephew. What I really was supposed to bring over was a Gingerbread House but everyone was sold out of them...then oddly enough when I spoke to my mother tonight she said that I had bought one already and it was in my grandmothers frig, so moms going to bring it into town

So I decided not to get in the middle of the crowds this year, and I thought I would get a unique skyline shot of downtown with the so called fireworks display going off in the center of town. So also while out taking Emporis pictures the other day I came across Norton Commons. Wow what can I say, love the idea. In my head if i ever had a lot of money and land this is what I would do with it..except i pictured it somewhere out west, but this will do. My brother will totally disagree with this but I think the idea of a self contained subdivision is brilliant. It's like a village.
